Welcome to DePaul’s Social Psychology Homepage!

DePaul University’s social psychology research group is home to a diverse collection of scholars who are dedicated to actively producing research which advances the science of our field. As a whole, our research emphasizes understanding the critical mechanisms behind social phenomena, their effects, and how they apply to timely social and global issues.

We have five highly active research labs, each of which studies a variety of topics in social psychology, publishes in top journals, and actively applies for grants (and sometimes receive them!). We pride ourselves on our highly collegial culture, which stresses collaboration, mutual support, and research and statistical skill development for both graduate and undergraduate students. We encourage and provide many opportunities for our graduate student researchers to work with multiple faculty members. We regularly host brown-bag events, where guest speakers share their research and receive friendly constructive feedback.
